Welcome to Duel Games ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile applications ("Apps") and website at duel-games.net (collectively, the "Services").

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we receive your email address, name, and authentication identifier. We do not access or store your third-party account password. You also choose a display name visible to other players.

2.2 Game Data

We collect gameplay statistics including scores, ratings (ELO), win/loss records, answer accuracy, response times, streak data, and training results. This data powers matchmaking, leaderboards, and your personal statistics.

2.3 Device & Technical Information

We collect device type, operating system version, app version, and a device push-notification token (for sending notifications). We do not collect precise location data.

2.4 Purchase Information

If you subscribe to our premium service, we receive a transaction identifier and subscription status from Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card details — all payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services
  • Match you with opponents of similar skill level
  • Display leaderboards and rankings
  • Send push notifications about game events, friend requests, and achievements (with your consent; you can disable notifications in device settings at any time)
  • Process and manage subscriptions
  • Respond to support requests
  • Detect and prevent cheating, abuse, or fraud

4. Advertising

Our free tier displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier and non-personal information to serve relevant ads. On iOS 14.5+, you will be asked for permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking occurs. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. Premium subscribers do not see any ads.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Services (hosting, infrastructure)
  • Other players — your display name, rating, rank, and game results are visible on leaderboards and in matches
  • Law enforcement — if required by law or to protect our rights

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (Profile → Settings → Delete Account), all your personal data and game history are permanently deleted immediately. This action cannot be undone.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure server infrastructure, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under these ages. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at info@duel-games.net and we will promptly delete it.

Our legal bases for processing are: contract performance (providing the Services), legitimate interests (improving the Services, preventing fraud), and consent (push notifications, ad personalization).

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
